Good morning---I'm baking cookies for men in the field, so decided I could update my blog while I'm waiting.  This is another card for this weekend's Stamp Club, so if you're coming you've gotten another sneak peek!   This is using a Big Shot Emboss Resist technique which is our technique of the month.  It is such a cool look to be able to emboss your CS and leave a blank shape of your choice in the center to decorate as you please.    I used the new Strength and Hope set (#123660---only $13.95 for the clear!) from the new Summer Mini Catalog for the heat-embossed design in the center of my blank oval.  If you purchase this set, Stampin' Up! will donation $2 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, which I think is a very nice gesture on their part!   There is also a digital download version of this set also available on my website---check it out!  Oh, and the rosettes----they are from a Sizzix die I found at Archiver's---couldn't resist it!   Sure hope SU! comes out with some flowers like this in the new catalog----so fun to make & so elegant!  Leave me a comment about this card!

Good Morning!  Are you like me and just realized in a panic that this weekend is Mother's Day???  Have you got your card made for that special mom, mother-in-law, or grandma???  Here's an idea for you using some of our new, great products from the Summer Mini Catalog which is now available.  Follow my link on the right of this post to my website to order some of these great products for yourself!

This card was made using the "Fabulous Florets" set on page 22 of the Summer Mini.  They were embossed with the new custom-colored embossing powders.  As an accent, I have used the wonderful new Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch---this great punch offers you three different punch styles all in one punch---WOW!  You have got to try these!!  I have decorated the inside with some stamps for Mother's Day, but really this card could be used for any occasion.  Head to my website:  www.kroquet.stampinup.net  quick and get some of these great products ordered!  We will be making this card at my Stamp Club this weekend, so if you are a member, you've gotten a sneak peek!!

Embedded Vintage Vogue

This is such a fun technique---have you tried it yet??  We stamped flowers from the Vintage Vogue stamp set on scrap paper, cut them out and glued them on our card front.  Then we ran them through our Big Shot with a square lattice embossing folder & wow!  It looks like you've got real pressed flowers on your card!   I'm not sure it's possible for me to make a card without my Big Shot anymore.  If you don't have one, you should get one----check out my website on the left for more details on how to get one!

Good morning!  Do you like new techniques??  Me too!  This is a technique called Faux Silk.  It's a fun technique that can be used a couple different ways for different looks, which is why I have 2 pieces shown from this card.  It only takes tissue paper, a good glue and some stamps & ink!  My Club gals had fun with this card making the deer appear in the fog or making the wolf from this stamp in the fog looking out at the deer.   If you don't own this Stampin' Up! set "Nature Silhouettes", you really should think about purchasing it----it's a super set!  With Father's Day coming up, it makes great masculine cards for all the men in your life.  Email me or go to my website link to purchase it!

I (heart) you bear!

Hi everyone----I'm back!!!  I have failed to keep up this blog for over a year, but I'm back & would love to have you join me!

While I have been gone, I have organized a Stamp Club that is now 19 members strong!  We started in November of 2010 and are meeting the first weekend of each month.

This particular card is one we did for Valentine's using the Build-a-Bear dies from Stampin' Up!  I think these are so cute and bring out the little girl in me by being able to play dress-up!

I hope you will join my blog and see some of the past cards we have done, some new ones coming up, some traditional & digital scrapbook pages I've made---digital using Stampin' Up's! My Digital Studio---which I LOVE!!   If you don't know about it, leave a comment on my blog and I will get you the information you need about it!  If you want it and don't have it (shame on you!! (: ) then go to my website www.kroquet.stampinup.net to purchase it!   It is wonderful and I will be posting some pages I've done on it very soon!  Please subscribe to my blog on the top left side and you will get an email update each time I post something new!  Hope you will join me for some fun crafting inspiration!

Oh, & be sure to leave me a comment now and then so I know you're out there!!  Thanks!
