Retirement, anyone???

Our pastor is retiring in June & his daughter is putting together a scrapbook of cards from all the congregation for him.  He's a great guy & I wanted to make him a classy but masculine card.  Here's what I used if you want to make one too:  I started with a base of Naturals White CS, embossed Basic Gray CS with our new Square Lattice embossing folder in the new mini catalog (see link at the right!), added some black ribbon & black CS, & stamped "Thoughts & Prayers" with Basic Gray ink.  The Congratulations & a verse about retirement on the inside is from one of last years SAB sets.....you can use them forever!!

Congrats to Cassie & Eli!

I've got a special bridal shower to go to this weekend & I needed to make a special card to give the bride.  This is what I came up with.....lots of glitz & bling!!  You probably can't tell from the picture, but the embossed background is spritzed with the new Silver Smooch spray (see the Summer Mini Catalog & get some ordered!!) and I also applied lots of Dazzlin' Diamonds glitter on the dress for added sparkle.  Even tho this stamp set is retired, it is still one of my favorites----but of course which stamp set isn't my favorite????

Love Card

You know, we really shouldn't save our lovey-dovey stamps for only Valentine's Day.  We should tell those we love that we love them all through the year!  I LOVE this great Jumbo wheel in our Spring Occasions Mini-Catalog.  Follow the link at the right to look at it & all the other great products included in it!   Other products from the mini I used on this card are the small heart punch & Perfect Dots embossing folder.  Be sure to add a little bling to add some sparkle to your loved ones cards!

Tara's card

They say that imitation is the greatest form of flattery so I say thank you to my customer Tara from Des Moines for doing her own spin on my St. Pat's Day card posted earlier.  Tara attended my February Stamp Camp & liked the St. Pat's & made her own version as a Birthday Card for her Mother-in-law's March 17th birthday.  Love the glitter!  Great job, Tara!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Well, I'm not Irish, but I can wish you all happiness & prosperity on St. Patrick's Day & everyday!

This is a card I designed for a recent Stamp Camp using SU!'s new large heart punch & embossing them with a QuikCuts embossing folder through the Big Shot to add some cool texture!  I based it all with Rich Razzleberry textured cardstock (LOVE that color!!) & some Cottage Wall Designer Series Paper and Razzleberry polka dot ribbon.  Finish is off with a faux suede flower center & a scallop oval greeting & you've got a card for almost any occasion!

I'm sending this card to a friend of mine who's turning 5-0 on St. Patty's Day---hope she'll like it!!

Happiness Always card

This is a card I actually CASEd  from another Stampin' Up! demo, but unfortunately I failed to write down her name.....whoever you are, thanks for the great card idea!  Rich Razzleberry textured CS makes a great background for this card which I wheeled the Very Vintage wheel over in Rich Razzleberry ink.  A Whisper White Top Note Die cut makes a nice focal point.....I free-hand cut an Always Artichoke layer behind it.  I completed it using some floral items from the Vintage Vogue set in Always Artichoke, Rich Razzleberry, & Crushed Curry.  The phrase is from my FREE Whimsical Words SAB set.  This card would be appropriate for almost any occasion.....just change the sentiment & you're ready to go!
This is a 12x12 SB page I made of my dear family at Christmas time 2009 using the Christmas Jingle SB kit from Stampin' Up!  These kits make scrapbooking so quick & easy.  If you are a beginner scrapbooker or just have a LOT of scrapbooking to catch up on (like me!!), I highly recommend using these kits to help you out!  This page was quick & easy to complete & looks great in the red SB frame I found at Michael's.

Sending Love Make & Take

This was a super easy make & take I came up with for a recent workshop.  It uses some great new products from the Occasions Mini Catalog:  Sending Love Specialty paper & the With All my Heart clear mount stamp set.    I made the Very Vanilla CS into a gate-fold card.  Contact me to order all the products to make this cute card & receive a FREE Sale-a-Bration set for your $50 order!

Good Neighbors SAB card

This fun little card was made using a couple of our Sale-A-Bration (SAB) sets:  The Good Neighbors set & the Scallop Border Punch....yep, that's right!  A punch this year as an SAB bonus gift & I love it!!  Another thing I love is this Old Olive textured cardstock!  Wish SU! would carry all the 8.5 x 11 CS in Textured like they do the In Colors.   The "Congratulations" is from the "Well Scripted" set in the Occasions mini cat....love that font!  A quick & easy card!
Here is a card I did for a demo at a recent workshop for my friend Marla.  I got the idea out of the Paper Crafts magazine.  I used the new Beautiful Wings Sizzlet die SU! has in their Occasions mini catalog right now & added some SU! blue super fine glitter.  Loved how it turned out!  By the way, the stamp set is "Thoughts & Prayers" from the current Idea Book & Catalog.  Contact me if you don't already have one & we'll make it happen!

Ice Storm SB pages

This is the 2nd page in the spread.  To make my "Ice Storm" title, I cut the letters on my Cricut, layered them & covered them with a generous coating of Crystal Effects & let dry over night.  I did this also to the Snowflake Sizzlet dies I cut with my Big Shot using light gray CS.  I covered my Rich Razzleberry borders with the Snowfall window sheets & secured with Square Ice brads.  I punched a small border using our new Pinking Hearts border punch (Occasions Mini catalog) to complete the look of ice hanging down.  Hope you like these pages!
This is the first half of a 2-page 12x12 SB spread I just finished depicting the ice storm we had here in southern Iowa in January 2010.  I used all SU! products on the pages (of course!!).  Rich Razzleberry CS was a great choice for the borders on both pages.  I used the flocked paper from the Christmas Cocoa DS paper that was featured in our Holiday Mini Catalog for my background.  It gave a soft, wintery look to the exposed parts of my pages.  Other colors I used were Bordering Blue & Basic Gray CS.
